I wish to bring this up while it is on my mind. Around the later 1970s and early 1980s it I was told I was supposed to help Marc get her to “leave back to Russia”–and I am not certain that is what it was at all. There was concern he himself wasn’t supposed to be so stuck to L.A. and Hollywood. I was too young to be a girlfriend or wife, btw. Maybe I didn’t get the correct message, or someone was just pushing the wrong buttons. Back in those days, Marc actually did drug Elaine from time to time because she got too crazy with some gang members, and I won’t elaborate in what way. He was probably trying to save her life. A lot was going on in L.A. it appeared… because even I was taken to them in person to discuss a variety of things briefly. It’s possible I was standing in for someone else? Not certain. (Marc told me and others he REFUSED to recognize me as “Amblin”) People cared about Marc’s welfare also. May have had to leave him with Elaine’s people’s protection.
