My First Commercial as a Producer (1970s)

Without going into a lot of details, I was taken to a place in Los Angeles, CA for a small car commercial. Mostly young adults were there and had gathered to produce it. When I showed up they wanted ME TO PAY FOR IT. I could not. I talked to some people there and managed to organize THE IDEA for paying some key people with a watch. Yes, just a watch. Here is why. I was scared, knew my own parents didn’t have a lot of money. Would they accept us buying some watches for key people and then release me? Allow others to take my place? A dark haired woman in her 30-40s stepped up and paid others with watches. I do not know if she used her money or my people’s money. I was supposed to EXIT HOLLYWOOD RIGHT AFTER THAT FOR GOOD. Back then there were KNOWN “Shanoe” MEN… more than one. Different ages also. They were going to be “Spielberg people” themselves. I was supposed to just be like a “little girlfriend” to them and others.

I know a lot of things got organized and discussed without me present. So I never knew all those people nor how they got there nor a lot of things. I DO NOT KNOW if this was after BYCORP said they would not sponsor me in Los Angeles, CA… I don’t know if this was AFTER “closed doors” were claimed at Grossmont College. I DO NOT KNOW if this happened after I was DEMOTED to “influencer”…. don’t know if this was before or after Elaine stepped up with Marc Zicree. Not certain if this was before or after the original MEN who wanted to be Kaleidoscope people verbally mugged me at 8015. A lot was going on in 1976-1978. I DO KNOW this may have been after the name Dreamworks was created.

I was NOT the actual producer on the commercial. This is what I need people to understand. There were so many people involved anywhere I went in the past decades they didn’t bother introducing me most of the time. They were mostly gang members just getting things done.
