A Good Breakfast

I’m dropping this idea in a very simple way. I was taught two ways to do breakfast: fast, abbreviated and small or very complete meal.

Here is what I learned about myself recently. I often kept the short breakfast even when I had time for a full meal. It was the WRONG IDEA. I want to help others hold onto something better: Don’t eat a small, on the run breakfast (max 250 calories). Get at least 500-800 calories if you are an average adult. At least 200-350 calories (300-600 is much better) if you are a youth or small person. The good news is you can have a fast high calorie breakfast.

I’m not a professional medical doctor or nutritionist. I have lived long enough to have learned what was working and what was not. My belief is I’ve achieved a “young elder” status within the last 5-10 years.

small bowl of fruit 40-80 calories

piece of bacon 50 calories
medium pancake 150 calories
hash brown patty 150 calories

small glass of orange juice 80-150 calories
12oz glass of milk 220 calories
12oz fruit smoothie 250-350 calories
coffee latte 250-400 calories
glazed donut 250 calories
bowl of oatmeal 250 calories+
breakfast bar 150-250 calories
breakfast sandwich 250-450 calories
egg wrap 200-350 calories
egg burrito 400-800 calories
